Abstract

The research project summarized here is intended to provide information, materials and useful and timely guidelines for decision-making in the energy and environmental sector, in particular to establish possible routes and implement actions to meet the binding targets for incorporating clean energy into the electricity sector for the 2015-2030 periods. To this end, we have made a comprehensive and integrated analysis of the sector, and poised scenarios for which sustainability, competitiveness, energy security and low carbon criteria were considered.
